This map shows the percentage of white alone in the counties of California based on the ACS 2022 1 year estimate. All of the counties are green, which represents the middle of the scale, at about 50/60%. I think that this is kind of interesting because almost exactly half of the population of the majority of the state is only white people. There are also a couple of areas where the map is more at 15%, and yellow which is interesting when you look at the map a little further and you see that those areas are more populated by Asian people.
This map shows the percentage of black/ African American alone in the counties of California based on the ACS 2022 1 year estimate. The population is all further down on the scale, and there are a lot less African American people that populate California then white people. There are areas, one noticeable one is along the border, where there are more African American populations, but overall it doesn't seem like a whole lot of people.
This map shows the percentage of Asian alone in the counties of California based on the ACS 2022 1 year estimate. I found this one to be interesting because other than white people, this map shows that Asian people are the second highest populating race in the California. It also seems like the areas that on the white only map are a little less populated, the Asian only map is more populated. Overall, the counties are on the lower side of the scale, but the counties that are in the middle did stand out to me.

California is such a diverse state. Looking at your maps, I'm surprised that there aren't higher populations of BIPOC communities-- especially when thinking about US History and the forced migration of marginalized people to the West (The Great Migration, Trail of Tears, etc). I'm not surprised that the Asian population is as high as it is, especially since there were a ton of Japanese Internment camps in CA and other Western states combined with the use of labor from Asian communities in the railroad systems.
