Demographic Data: Asian and Pacific Islander Languages

This is the data of the percentage of the population that speak Asian and Pacific Islander languages in and around the San Francisco area in California. Compared to the rest of the country, this is the biggest hot spot of these languages other than more down south in the Los Angeles area. I believe that part of the reason this is true is because the countries that dominantly speak this language are closer to this coast of the United States than to go all the way over to New York. Another reason that this population is bigger here is because there is constantly a growing innovation of technology and because China is another tech giant in the world, many of the immigrants come to the Bay Area to be a part of the innovation in especially Silicon Valley.

That's good! When I first looked at your map I assumed that the Northeastern clumping had to do with that region being closest to France. It did not even cross my mind that Canada could be the reason for this.
